UFC 114: Evans defeated Jackson via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27) in the Rampage vs. Evans which was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on May 29, 2010.
Jackson was originally supposed to fight Evans for the title after defeating Keith Jardine, but a jaw injury during that fight allowed Lyoto Machida to step in in his place.
