Two persons died and eight others were injured in violence sparked by an article by Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen in a local newspaper.

The article published in yesterday’s edition of Kannada Prabha was about burqa worn by Muslim women.

Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa has said that the State Government will not tolerate the publication of any derogatory article.
