It has been announced that 3D “ Shrek Forever After” movie will open 2010 Tribeca Film festival in New York.
The movie is about the tale of grumpy but lovable green ogre and it has already made about $2bn worldwide since 2001.
The Tribeca festival,launched by actor Robert De Niro, is starting on 21 April and it will be the ninth annual Tribeca festival.
The remaining line up of the festival will be announced later over coming weeks.
“ Shrek Forever After” will be the first in 3D and the fourth installment of DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc.’s series. The film will be released on May 21 in United States.
The Tribeca Festival has screened around more than 1000 films since its beginning in 2002.
