He Pingping, the world’s shortest man died in Italy, Tuesday. Pingping suffered chest problems in Rome while taking a part in a television show. He was taken to the hospital but died over the weekend. Family members say he had not shown previous signs of bad health.

Pingping lived in the Baotou, a city in the northern region of Inner Mongolia. He had a primordial dwarfism and measured 74.61 centimetres (30 inches). The family can’t go to Rome, and will wait for his dead body to be transported.
