Chhote Lohia Janeshwar Mishra passes away

Veteran socialist leader and former Union Minister Janeshwar Mishra died on 22
January 2010 due to cardiac arrest at TB Sapru Hospital in Allahabad. He was 77-year-old.
He was a politician from Samajwadi Party and was known as “Chhote Lohia”.
He was member of the Parliament of India representing Uttar Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha.
He served as minister of state for Railways in the Chandra Shekhar government during 1990-91.
He defeated Mr. V.P.Singh by almost 90,000 votes from parliamentary constituency in 1977 elections.
