Members of the R.E.M., X, She & Him will join with the surviving members of the Big Star to pay tribute for the late Alex Chilton. The tribute will be at South by Southwest music conference in Austin, Texas, on Saturday.

The show will feature the original drummer of the band Jody Stephens and the original bassist of the Big Star, Andy Hummel. He will be joined by newer members Ken Stringfellow and Jon Auer.

Alex Chilton died at the age of 59 of a suspected heart attack in his home in New Orleans.
